“Balena Blu” (Blue whale in Italian) is a stunning, self-catering beach flatlet situated in the coastal village of Blue Horizon Bay, which is halfway between Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and Jeffreys Bay. The unit can accommodate four guests. It was established as an urban Conservancy and is home to a wide variety of beautiful antelope, like the often-seen Bushbuck. The unit offers an amazing sea view and the sunsets are beautiful to watch. Guests can also walk on the beach for kilometers and watch the dolphins and whales play in the sea. The eight kilometer beach is perfect for long walking exercise or to relax in the sun.
Balena Blu is a fully equipped-self-catering unit with a beautiful sea view and consists of an open plan kitchen and lounge area, two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds which can become a king size bed, and one bathroom, which has a shower, toilet and washbasin.
The lounge area is furnished with two comfortable couches, a TV with DSTV, Netflix and free WiFi, and has a sliding door opening onto the balcony/deck. A Weber braai is on the deck with chairs and a table. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, gas stove and oven, microwave, kettle, coffee and tea facilities, crockery and cutlery. There is also an automated washing machine and dishwasher for your convenience.
A café/bar and spa is within walking distance from the unit.
Other attractions is Van Stadens Resort which is four kilometers from Blue Horizon Bay where day visitors can enjoy fun water sports in the lagoon. There are also a few beautiful wedding venues, like Slipperfields Events and Conference Venue, situated close to Blue Horizon Bay.

What a tranquil setting. Just sitting on the patio and looking at the beach down below. Watching the boats sailing by or at night when all is dark staring at the chokka boats on the sea all lit up. Friendly owners who make you feel like family. Would go there again.
