Blouberg is a suburb of Cape Town along the shores of Table Bay, 15 kilometres north of Cape Town. The name Bloubergstrand means "blue mountain beach" in Afrikaans, and is derived from Blaauwberg, a nearby hill. Bloubergstrand is mainly a residential area, and attracts large numbers of visitors especially kitesurf enthusiasts. The beach at Bloubergstrand is one of the most popular locations for a classic view of Table Mountain. Blouberg is one of the world's top kitesurf destinations. Robben Islands is located about 7 kilometres west of the coast of Bloubergstrand.
Bloubergstrand has a long white beach on the Atlantic Ocean with a few rocky outcrops. The bay on the west side of Blouberg, known as 'Big Bay' is a popular windsurfing and kitesurfing spot due to the constant trade winds bringing a 1 to 3m surf for a majority of the year.

The beach.
Dining out, walking on the beach.
They are not far from shops even if I use Uber it's not expensive.
It is quiet and serene. The beach is easy to access and many people run on the beach or next to it. A great place to visit if you enjoy being active. Also, a very dog friendly place. I would recommend Mozambik for a relaxed meal, but be prepared for noise: it is a very popular location! Both Table Mountain and Robben Island are visisble from Blouberstrand. with Uber, you can get around pretty easily to just about any location.
The beach
We want to thank Marko and his team for their friendliness and welcoming us with open arms on the 4th of July 2022. He gave us a tour through the apartment and made sure that we had all the things we need. The apartment was well cleaned and had all the equipment needed. It is walking distance to the beach and there is a lot of restaurants to choose from in the area. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it for anyone. Sunset court will definitely see us again. Thank you Marko for everything.
