Auberge La Dauphine guesthouse is situated in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley, surrounded by majestic mountains, only 50 minutes drive from Cape Town and 2 minutes from Franschhoek village. Set in 4 hectares with vineyards, orchards, dam, swimming pools and tennis court, it offers bed only accommodation in a sympathetically converted former wine store and cottages. We do a minimum stay of 2 nights only.
Our spacious guest rooms and suites have both bath and shower en-suite, TV, air-conditioning/heating, and tea and coffee making facilities. The little patio areas in front of our rooms and suites have tables and chairs allowing guests to relax and take advantage of the lovely views. Our cottages have both double and twin rooms with en-suite bath and shower, lounges, kitchens and DSTV. Our Cottages offer self-catering accommodation. Unfortunately no meals are served at the guest house. Laze in the garden by the swimming pool, have a game of tennis, enjoy a sundowner in the gazebo at the dam, say hello to our rescue donkeys and chickens in their paddocks, or take the dogs for a walk around the farm - the choice is yours.
We can organise wine tours and tastings (on horse-back if you wish). The village has an extensive range of shops,
galleries and cafes. Numerous award-winning restaurants in and
around Franschhoek give it the title of leading gourmet region of
South Africa.
At Auberge La Dauphine our aim is to make your visit to this
beautiful valley one you will want to repeat.

Beautiful spot on the outskirts of the town, close enough to enjoy the towns amenities, but peaceful and quiet to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains!
Host was quick to respond and helpful with my request.
Thank you for a lovely stay!
We loved our stay at Auberge La Dauphine. We were three families of 4 each and absolutely loved the space and cleanliness of the entire cottage. What a great find and so close to the Franschhoek hub, but yet you feel as you've been transported to a quiet little piece of heaven. The dam discovery was priceless...our teenagers loved it.
We enjoyed our stay in this spectacular setting very much.
Great place, great people.

The Wine Train for sure
So many wonderful places to eat including lovely outdoor courtyards with live music; lovely bespoke shops plus some necessities like Clicks; incredible world-class wine estates with wine tasting & pairing experiences and the wine tram; lovely accommodation well-tiered; safe to walk around. For an outstanding experience and meal I would recommend La Petite Colombe on Leeu estates.
The view, the quietness, the restaurants,, the wine estates.
Wine tasting trains and trams. Scenery and location.
The relaxed vibe...
Clean, feels safe and beautiful views and hikes.
The village vibe and how safe it is. Also, everyone can walk to where they want to go, instead of getting into a car every time.
Weather, shops, restaurants. Access to vineyards, trips, park run.
Holiday atmosphere without crowded chaos.
Wine farms, street cafes, Hussar's Restaurant, cleanliness.!
