In the heart of the picturesque town of Swellendam, you will find 20 on Somerset guesthouse. The property offers travellers much more than just a place to stay, with unmatched views of our town and the beautiful mountains.
Each individually decorated room features an en-suite bathroom. In addition, each room contains a Smart TV, free Wi-Fi access, USB charging points, and a bar fridge stocked with 2 soft drinks & water; some rooms offer a deck with mountain or sunset views.
Our venue, the Sundowner Deck, is unique in the sense that it offers guests views of our town and the picturesque mountains in the late afternoon; a unique way to enjoy Swellendam’s sunsets with a glass of wine and dinner. Meals are presented in the form of a platter-for-two. Choices are between a meaty platter or cold meats and cheese platter. A vegetarian platter is also available on request.
20 on Somerset offers scrumptious dinners which may be enjoyed on the Sundowner Deck or at the cosy fireplace in the house. We have a bushveld boma BBQ/braai area, offering the perfect opportunity to enjoy sundowners with the most beautiful sunsets in Africa.
At night, guests can also relax and admire the stars with an unobstructed view. There is free parking on-site, secured by an automated gate.

Nature lovers will enjoy the plentiful nature reserves around Swellendam, including the Marloth Nature Reserve, Sambona Wildlife Reserve, Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve, and Bontebok National Park. Wildlife in Swellendam includes the endangered Bontebok and Cape Mountain Zebra as well as bushbuck, klipspringer, baboon, mongoose, and the occasional Leopard. Birding enthusiasts will marvel at over 200 species of birds, including waterfowl, eagles, Narina Trogon, Paradise Flycatcher, and the Knysna Woodpecker.

La Belle Alliance restaurant is AMAZING for breakfast!
I enjoyed Aan De Eike Guesthouse, My room were clean and the service were excellent.I felt very safe enjoyed every moment since I arrived. Swellendam is beautiful with most beautiful views. The location was very convenient and would recommend The Republican Restaurant. The food and vibe were awesome. It's safe to walk in Swellendam, what a beautiful place for entertainment
Historical information and value
Scenery, the residents, the roads are in great condition (compared to many many many other towns/cities in SA).

Wildebraam Estate. Friendly people. No traffic. Has all the shops and places one needs.
