Molema offers self-catering accommodation in wooden cabins and camp sites. Both the cabins and campsites are exquisitely located close to the banks of the Limpopo River, shaded by huge Leadwood and Mashatu trees.

There are 4 wooden cabins each with an en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet, basin) veranda and braai stand. These are three twin cabins and one family cabin (double bed & bunk bed), each +/- 20m2. One cabin is in a very private site overlooking the Limpopo River, but please note that it is 300m from the kitchen. Towels, bedding and bathroom amenities are provided along with a daily housekeeping service. There is a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, gas stove, cutlery, crockery, glasses and cooking utensils) and boma area available for chalet guests.

There are 4 camping sites each with private ablutions (shower, toilet, basin) and a braai stand. A maximum of 8 persons / 2 vehicles are allowed per site unless the entire campsite is booked by the same group.

Please note that Molema Bush Camp is unfenced and there is no electricity. Firewood can be purchased from the office, however there are currently no shops nearby so please ensure you have all food, drinks and ice for the duration of your stay. When travelling from South Africa the last shops prior to your arrival at Molema are in Alldays, and from within Botswana in Bobonong, Mothlabaneng and Mathathane.

Property Facilities:
Molema is great for birding, and guests may walk within the designated grounds which includes an attractive riverine area.

Game drives, night drives and bush walks are available, but it is highly recommended to pre-book these in advance as there may be limited availability and these cannot be guaranteed without prior arrangement. The game drives and bush walks depart directly from Molema Bush Camp. Children under the age of 12 are, unfortunately, not permitted to participate in bush walks.

Please note that there is no self-driving permitted on Molema.

Bush dinners are available upon request.

The Tuli Wilderness team specialises in special interest and group experiences so please contact us for specific information on what we can offer you.

Area Information:
Molema Bush Camp is situated on the banks of the Limpopo River in the Tuli Block, about 30 km downstream from Platjan Border in the easternmost corner of Botswana. Molema is located on privately-owned land immediately to the west of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve, in an area soon to be incorporated into the Greater Mapungubwe Transfrontier Conservation Area (TFCA), and is very easily accessible from South Africa. Our 24 000 acre concession of Botswana wilderness makes an ideal getaway or stop-over point for travelers between Botswana and South Africa.
The area is home to a diverse range of wildlife and boasts the worldâ??s largest elephant population on privately owned land (over 1800 elephants) - offering some incredible sightings and providing fantastic photographic opportunities. Lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted and brown hyaena are amongst the many
carnivore species that occur within the reserve. Large herds of free-roaming eland, zebra and wildebeest are seen regularly and many other plains game are also found in the area.

The Tuli area is rich in archaeological heritage and beautiful San rock art sites have been discovered alongside numerous archaeological sites dating back from the Stone Age. Scattered artifacts are still being discovered over the concession.
Game viewing is excellent during the drier months of April to October. The southern night-skies appear to be studded with more stars than during the other seasons. The stark beauty of the landscape towards the end of the dry season is synonymous with the Tswana word 'tuli' (meaning dust).
The 'green season' occurs from November to March and this is when the African bush takes on a whole new look. Most animals produce their young while the migrant birds return to their sunny southern African summer homes. Once the rains return to the region, the bush lays a lush green floral carpet and the sky is spectacularly blue, all combining to make this a special season to visit us.

Fully equipped kitchen with fridge - freezer - gas stove -cutlery - crockery - glasses and cooking utensils.

Whilst rustic Molema's chalets are clean and beautifully set into the banks of the Limpopo, we awoke every morning to witness wildlife moving through the camp towards the Limpopo. The reserve itself has been heavily damage by elephants overgrazing, a concern that is visible on both sides of the Limpopo. The staff at Molema are cheerful and very helpful. Molema is a fantastic location, and true value for money.
