You have the choice of delicious gourmet dinners produced by the resident chef with organic produce from the farm at Kuilfontein Stable Cottages or order wholesome braai packs and homemade prepared dinners in the luxury self-catering units of The Paddocks which is ideal for families with young children with their well appointed two bedroomed family suites.

HORSES OVERNIGHTING & FLY-INS
There is an airstrip of 1300m for fly-in safaris and stables and paddocks to overnight your horses.

RETREATS & SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS
Kuilfontein is the perfect venue for intimate retreats and weddings in the magnificent Karoo countryside. The converted shearing barn can host up to 70 people for special events & functions (weddings, special birthdays etc) and retreats and the Stable Cottages and The Paddocks can accommodate up to 40 guests, the balance being able to be accommodated in the nearby town of Colesberg or at the country retreat, Riverside Lodge, also owned by the family.

KUILFONTEIN HISTORY
Kuilfontein has borne witness to a rich history, from wars, to drought, and floods. The original homestead was built in 1818, and the present family took ownership in 1875. It has been an ostrich and sheep farm, and racehorse stud and today is a mixed farming operation that produces South Africa's world's famous Karoo lamb. There are still herds of the original spring buck roaming the plains.

FEED ROOM aka THE DINING ROOM
The feed room was the original feed and tack room of the stable block. A fusion of country and contemporary cuisine is served on gleaming yellowwood tables by a resident chef using the farm's produce whenever possible. Start your day with a health breakfast of cereals, muffins and scones, farm butter, and homemade jam. And for winter dinners, treat yourself to the farm's specialty of succulent Karoo lamb or venison.

PUB
The intimate pub presents the perfect chance for guests to mingle after a long day's drive while coffee and liqueurs are served in the gazebo, or outside under brilliant starry skies. Or, if you're feeling slightly more energetic, why not make use of the swimming pool and boules court or do a bit of birdwatching and walk amongst the gemsbok and zebras in the game camp.
