Nkwichi Lodge is located on a spectacular stretch of squeaky white beach along the shores of Mozambique's Lake Malawi. The lodge is very isolated with no roads within a 10 mile radius, keeping the tranquility to a maximum. The lodge has been built in a way to not spoil the surroundings, but to actually blend in with it.

Nkwichi Lodge can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 14 guests in their 6 superb chalets which have been carefully designed using local materials. The chalets are spacious and situated far apart from each other giving you all the privacy you would need to make that romantic or family time together more special. A focal point would be the four poster bed located in the centre of the room, draped with netting and its fresh crisp bedding. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom designed in a way that you can bathe outdoors under the canopy of trees and stars in seclusion.
The Lakeshore Deck at Nkwichi Lodge is one of the most popular places, offering scrumptious breakfasts with fresh seasonal fruit and homemade muesli. Lunches are served outdoors under the shade of a living antique and while you are out and about on other activities you can enjoy a picnic on the beachfront or in the surrounding wilderness. Come dinner time, Nkwichi Lodge caters for those who would prefer to dine in the privacy of their chalet as well as many other locations.
There are many interesting activities to take part in, such as walking up to the top of the escarpment directly behind the lodge, sitting back and ticking new birds off your list, visiting the local farming project while meeting the community and exploring the mambo woodlands on foot. Enjoy the lake and all it has to offer including swimming and snorkelling in the gentle blue waters, SUPing or quietly kayaking along the shore.
