*The holiday home has been beautifully decorated with quality linen, furniture and artwork and enjoys possibly the best views in Darling - over rolling hills and farmlands to the distant mountains
*Aloe Cottage is the perfect romantic getaway for couples as well as for weekends away with friends or family holidays. The cottage is also ideal for corporate accommodation when working in the Darling area
In Room Facilities:*Three en-suite bedrooms provide accommodation for up to 6 guests.
*Downstairs comprises two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized bed, one with twin beds) both luxuriously en-suite, with an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with fireplace, leading via French doors to a large, sheltered verandah with built-in braai.
*Stairs from the dining area lead to the spacious loft with another sitting area. The loft has a queen-sized bed and free-standing Victorian bath, with a separate loo and basin. The loft has a small balcony with panoramic views and guests can even star-gaze from bed
*Darling is a small town in a farming area on the west coast region of the Western Cape, about 75 km (46.6 mi) from Cape Town.
Property Facilities:*Enjoy your days unwinding on the sheltered verandah to the soundtrack of the local birds, have a braai (wood is provided), visit the iconic Evita se Perron, see the weaver birds build their nests right outside the window, curl up with a book in the hammock, or just relax on the deep, comfy couches in front of the fireplace with some fine Darling wine.
*The adjacent fields of the Oude Post farm occasionally offer a glimpse of the beautiful long horns and speckled hides of the Nguni cattle

Probably the best equipped self-catering unit that I've stayed in. Great for a mid-winter break. Suited our needs well.
Lovely stay in Darling - host has thought of everything to make your stay an amazing experience. Short distance to wine and beer tasting and great restaurants. Definitely a little gem and well worth a visit.
An awesome cottage well stocked and lots of wood for braai. Even toffees, a bottle of wine and treats for the doggie.

My family had a fabulous time at Doornfontein, my kids liked the fact that they had there own private pool, great hospitality from Amanda and husband. Kids when quad bike riding, saw animals. It was adventurous for our family. Arendse family.
