This quaint self contained house dates back to the earlier days of Graaff-Reinet and has been declared a National Monument. Situated on a quiet tree-lined street, Mossievale is only a short walk away from the heart of historic Graaff-Reinet. The peaceful garden offers lovely mountain views, braai facilities and a sparkling pool.
Fully equiped for up to 9 people, the cottage is for self catering and B&B guests. All three bedrooms have ceiling fans and two air conditioners. Recently, a backpacker's unit was added to cater for those travelers that need only a bed to sleep and a bathroom to freshen up in. Mossievale is ideal for a refreshing overnight stop and as a relaxing holiday house for a longer stay.
Mossievale Guest Cottage is proudly owned and managed by Chippie and Elsie Joseph, who have been living in Graaff-Reinet for many years.
The Cottage was born in December of 1996 as a self catering accommodation unit.
It was changed to a combination of self catering and bed and breakfast in 1999.
Being awarded a three star grading by the Tourism Grading Council, Mossievale is sure to offer you all the luxury and comfort that you would hope to have on an overnight stay or even a lengthy holiday in the Karoo. Mossievale Guest Cottage is also on the list of the AAs Highly Recommended Accomodation. You will be dazzled by the stunning view of the surrounding mountains and the tree-lined streets surrounding this establishment.
