We are situated above the village of Wilderness, enjoying a 360-degree panoramic view. The Outeniqua mountains lie to the North with the ocean on the South side. Towards the East are the quaint towns of Sedgefield and Knysna. Enjoy your sundowner with spectacular sunsets over the Kaaimans River Pass and Victoria Bay as the sun sets in the West over Herolds Bay.

The Wallow is set on a 3.25ha country estate, with indigenous forest and Fynbos alongside a wallow once visited by the roaming Knysna elephants, but alas no longer. We are in a Nature Reserve and therefore wildlife abounds, with birds and regular sightings of our resident Crested Eagle, searching for a meal. Spot the Ducks, or listen to the Owls hooting in the evenings , the croaking of frogs, swallows building their nests, and Bushbuck wandering about cautiously, wild and free, making this an ideal venue to relax and unwind. Truly, food for the soul!

All units are ground level with well appointed furnishings and bedding with percale linen. All the units have their own entrances, and consist of 1 or 2 bedrooms, lounge/dining area, TV1,2,3 and e-TV, M-net, DVD player as well as one Dstv channel. Bathrooms have washbasins, showers only and w/c. Exterior bench tables on private decks afford guests the opportunity to enjoy breakfast or sundowners whilst soaking up the view in crisp fresh air. Portable braais (barbeques) are supplied for each unit. Parking is off street and secure, with one bay per unit

The Host Couple were very friendly and always accommodating. The units and premises very clean and well maintained. It is the perfect stay for the person/s / families wanting a peaceful get away from it all. The Wildernis itself also truly beautiful.

Wilderness offers a wide variety of activities for all ages with an abundance of hiking trails, canoe offerings and paragliding available, whilst being surrounded by some of the most pristine beaches our country has to offer. If you love nature and adventure, Wilderness is your playground. For daytrips, you have the option of visiting neighbouring areas including George, Sedgefield, Knysna and Plettenberg. This is definitely a home away from home.
