A charming old Victorian house that has been lovingly restored provides the setting and attentive hosts provide the rest. Les Chambres is situated within easy walking distance of the main road and is less than two minutes' walk from the top Cape Winelands restaurants, including Reuben's, Le Quartier Francais and Le Bon Vivant.

Spacious and comfortable rooms, together with personal service make for a memorable stay. You are welcome to come and take a look at our facilities, when you are next in Franschhoek. Accommodation the way you expect.
Property Facilities:
Breakfast is a continental-style buffet, comprising a selection of cold meats, cheeses (both local and imported French), fresh fruits and cereals, including our own homemade granola (ask nicely and we may give you the recipe).

If you prefer, we will prepare you a cooked option, such as bacon, eggs (any way you like), sauteed mushrooms and tomato. Perhaps you would prefer something more simple such as poached eggs on English muffins, or try one of our specials, which change daily. Favourites include "Eggs Benedict" and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon-trout (a local delicacy). We also offer a variety of vegetarian cooked breakfasts such as avocado with sauteed mushroom and tomato on a corn fritter or French toast.
With temperatures soaring during summer, what better way to relax than to laze by the pool? Open a bottle of your favourite wine, from one of the local cellars and simply enjoy the afternoon.
Wander around the garden admiring the vast array of plants, both indigenous and exotic. Find one of the benches, perhaps in the herb garden and finish that book you've been meaning to read.

Area Information:
In the beautiful Cape Winelands of South Africa, nestled beneath majestic mountains, lies the historical village of Franschhoek.

Widely known as the "Food and wine capital of South Africa", Franschhoek boasts some of the best restaurants in the country, together with numerous wine estates.

Only one hour from Cape Town and twenty minutes from both Paarl and Stellenbosch, Franschhoek makes the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy the area.

Les Chambres Guest House is situated in the heart of the village, offering luxurious accommodation and personal service. Located within easy walking distance of the main road, where most of the restaurants and shops are situated.

The village has become one of the top destinations for visitors to South Africa. It is estimated that one in six visitors to South Africa, visits Franschhoek. Upon your first visit you will understand why; the entire valley, not just the village itself, is breathtaking.

In Room Facilities:
All rooms are air-conditioned.
One room features a wood-burning fire, for which wood is provided. For the winter months, under-floor heating will keep you warm and cosy.
Two of our rooms each have a small, but totally private courtyard, leading directly from the room. The other two rooms are slightly larger but have no courtyard.
Tea & coffee making facilities in each room.

Attractions:
Franschhoek is widely known as the "Food & Wine Capital of South Africa" and numerous award-winning chefs ply their trade in and around the village.
Franschhoek restaurants have become synonymous with great food, superb local wines and exceptional value.
The growing of grapes and the production of wine is an integral part of life in the Franschhoek valley. Today, our wines and wine estates are one of the biggest draw-cards in the area, bringing both national and international visitors to the valley.

This is such a beautiful and well run town, with an abundance of wine and good food! Would highly recommend this for any visitors seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Or just want a romantic weekend away. It is on the pricey side, so be prepared to pay a bit for a meal and drinks. Otherwise have fun!
