The 18-hole De Zalze Golf Course with its rolling fairways, water expanses and majestic views is currently ranked fourth in the Western Cape and 23rd in South Africa. The wooded banks of the Blaauwklippen River which runs along several of the fairways, adds to the visually pleasing landscape while at the same time providing unique golfing challenges. Designed by Peter Matkovich it is one of only 14 courses countrywide to receive the Compleat Golfer's Five Star Experience award. De Zalze Golf Course also features high on the list of the country's best-conditioned courses and is great for play in all seasons.

A perfect place to stay in the De Zalze estate - I would highly recommend this accommodation
We really enjoyed our stay at the Winelands Golf Lodge at Klein de Zalze. The place was well equipped and very comfortable.
The unit was exceptional but we could not enjoy it because it was uncomfortable. Unit 4 does not have an aircon so we were only coming back to the unit to sleep. During our visit to Stellenbosch it was raining and cold. We did not have any form of heating the room except sitting in bed. It is surprising that such an elite establishment would lack a basic necessity such as an airconditioner.
