More info about Boggomsbaai

With a name like this, Boggomsbaai has already piqued the curiosity of potential visitors. While it isn’t officially known where the name originates from what is certain is that Boggomsbaai is idyllic, secluded, and the ideal destination for when you need a vacation away from the stress and strains of modern day life.

Situated close to Mossel Bay along the famous South African Garden Route, Boggomsbaai provides the perfect refuge from city life and what’s more it is located right on a beautiful beach. The beaches here are clean and pristine; furthermore, the lack of noise, the great mild weather, and the fact that Boggomsbaai is safe makes a holiday to these parts more and more attractive to holidaymakers. When you’re done lounging on the beach and topping up your tan enjoy the numerous water sports on offer or even try something away from the waters; visitors also have the privilege of being able to do whale watching from whatever accommodations they are using. Sports lovers will be able to make full use of the tennis courts and clubhouse facilities as well as the local golf course which is always in pristine condition.

The area is also known for its wonderful bird watching opportunities while those that need an adrenaline rush can head over to Gourits River Bridge - just half an hour away – where they can enjoy the popular extreme sport of bungee jumping. Boggomsbaai, while being secluded and private, has the added benefit of giving travellers easy access to other sought after South African attractions such as the Cango Caves and the ostrich farms out at Oudtshoorn, both which are just an hour and a half away.
