Escape to the peaceful charming town of Springbok, Northern Cape, unfolding its vast expanse of silent treasures; a place of diamonds, copper, and breathtaking carpets of spring flowers.

Situated in the heart of the astounding Namaqualand, the colourful historical town of Springbok nestles in a deep plain between the rugged granite Kopper Mountain and is the commercial and cultural hub of Namaqualand. Located directly on the N7 Springbok is the perfect stop-over en-route to Namibia. Stay in the abounding accommodation on offer which includes stunning guest houses, excellent hotels, charming cottages and caravan parks. Within the town area are a variety of wonderful restaurants, great supermarkets, appealing gifts shops, and a lively craft sector selling handmade products. The pretty picturesque town of Springbok boasts museums, geological and historical sites dating back to the mining origins of this fascinating town and not to be missed is a trip to the war cemetery and the striking Dutch Reformed Church in the town centre.

Play a round of golf at the splendid 18-hole course, walk the Blue Mine trail offering magnificent views of the town, or venture to the fantastic Goegap, Skilpad Nature Reserves and to Richtersveld National Park, wonderful sites for camping, hiking and discovering the prolific bird species. View the rock desert where the leafless Quiver Tree seems to be whispering sweet nothings endorsing the silence and peaceful atmosphere of the environment. The area is transformed into a magical wonderland of spring flowers after the winter rains when the lifeless scrubland burst into a kaleidoscope of profuse colours, an unbelievable sight not to be missed. The ideal location, the friendly atmosphere and significant rich history mixed with the picture perfect surroundings, make for Springbok to be a “must see” when exploring the Northern Cape.
