Bo Kouga Mountain Retreat is a 360 hectare farm in the Bo Kouga mountains outside Uniondale. We have sheep & game (springbok, eland & zebra) on the farm with the occasional leopard. Four Cottages are available on a self catering basis. They are all very comfortable and equipped with what you will need for a very pleasant and memorable stay.
In Room Facilities:Tea, Coffee, Sugar and Milk on arrival. Good quality linen and towels included. Rooms furnished with your comfort in mind.
Area Information:Situated in a beautiful secluded mountain area, part of the Langkloof also known as Apple Valley. The Kouga mountains also border the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve.
Property Facilities:The following are supplied for your convenience: Fire wood on arrival, tea, coffee, kitchen soaps and towels.
Take in your surroundings, breathe in the clean fresh air or study the magnificent night sky.
Game viewing (Springbok, Eland and Zebra), Hiking/Walking, Mountain biking routes, Waterfall and rock pools for swimming, Dam with Paddle board, Scenic mountain area, Star gazing, Birdwatching, Relaxing and enjoying nature at it's best.

Quiet old world charm.
We had supper at The Hungry Ghost restaurant and the food was good. It is a small, but nice little town.
Lovely farming community that understand that life is about being kind and hospitable to each other in the harsh Karoo environment.
Convenient location for travel towards Graaff Reinet or Baviaanskloof.
