Enjoy self catering accommodation with us at the the Hibiscus Coast's most fascinating destination. Come enjoy the pristine blue flag beaches, and other places of attraction in the area. From June to December the Southern Right whale can be spotted bathing in the panoramic beauty of the Indian Ocean.
Umzumbe Chalets are situated about 6km from Hibberdene and 17km from Port Shepstone, and consist of 56A-frame chalets, perfectly arranged in a beautiful splendor garden - each with the most gorgeous sea view!
Umzumbe Chalets are a safe haven to visit, having 24 hour security watch and electric fencing.
Umzumbe Chalets proudly offers our guests a beautiful recreational area which includes a big and small pool with a comfortable braai area, sports bar, snooker table, table tennis, darts, a steam bath and gym.
Our heart-warming, double storey, self-catering chalets are tastefully furnished and has three bedrooms (2 upstairs, 1 downstairs) and a bathroom with a bathtub-shower, toilet and hand basin. The fully equipped kitchen kitchen is fitted with modern appliances such as a family fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery for six guests. The main bedroom with a double bed, and the other two rooms each with two, single beds beautifully dressed with a fitted flat sheet & duvet.
The luxurious newly built chalets are designed in an ultra-modern style and consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen, lounge and dining area.
The units all feature an outdoor garden & patio with its own braai facilities and single carport.
For your comfort a ceiling fan will cool you down in the sub-tropical summer and cozy blankets for the cooler days. All chalets are equipped with DSTV coupling so you can easily bring your own decoder, cables and card along.
The leisure of a daily Cleaning Services assures a restful place to be!

The indigenous wood that surrounds the Resort are the domain of 80 various tree and 180 different bird species. To have a close watch on these we have a 2 km hike on our “Bosbok” hiking trail where the Busch Buck, Natal Duiker and the shy Blue Duiker will greet you!
Nestled amidst the rolling green hills and thick dune forests, the little town of Umzumbe hides between the Mzumbe and Ingambili Rivers. The nearby beaches (protected by lifeguards and shark nets) are the perfect place to relax and have a fun filled summer holiday on beaches boasting Blue Flag status! The warm subtropical climate provides for magnificent swimming, snorkelling, diving and fishing weather all year round.
Umzumbe Chalets are conveniently situated near business malls and other outdoor sports activities.
Whether you want to watch dolphins and whales from your patio, relax around the pool, cook up a storm in the kitchen, or take a brisk walk across the railway tracks and savour the un-crowded Umzumbe Beach, for a leisurely stroll, a romantic picnic, frolicking in the waves, or simply stare at the magnificent view with a refreshing sun downer in your hand; here you can do it in comfort and style.
