Penbi Game Ranch is conveniently situated 30km north of Vryheid and only 3km from the tarred Vryheid/Paulpietersburg main road.The area is malaria free and the clean water and air have a bracing effect on health and vitality. At 1320m above sea level the climate is mild, yet stimulating with warm summers and invigorating winters.
We have a unique blend of bush-veld and high-veld which create the opportunity for nature lovers to view more than 20 species of mammal including Eland, Kudu, Red Hartebeest and Giraffe, with the latest count notching up over 1000 head of game. Birding is also very rewarding and the area is home to numerous species. One of the highlights is the bald ibis nesting site. Fish eagles, martial eagles, blue cranes and many others are often spotted.
