Shady Creek Cottage is situated on the banks of the Breede River with breathtaking views to wake up to. The cottage is comfortable and stylishly furnished with two en-suite bedrooms; the main bedroom flows to the exterior through beautiful French doors.
There is an open-plan fully equipped kitchen and living area and there is a sleeper couch in the lounge area for extra guests. There are braai facilities outside for entertainment purposes, and a fireplace inside. With private jetty and small dingy for hire. If you want to experience country life, birdwatching, peace and tranquility, Shady Creek Cottage is the ideal breakaway. Essential DStv available which has sport and movie channels.
Lying in the shadow of the Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountains on the banks of the Breede River, this part of the world is known as the Valley of Cheese and Wine for good reason.
The Breede River provides an endless list of water sports, including a trip up the river on the River Goose, canoeing, fishing, and for those without water wings, there is a golf course, hiking - and 4x4 trails all within short driving distance from Shady Creek Cottage.

Our stay was pleasant and restful. Views next to river was amazing.

VERY COSY AND CLEAN. AS CLOSE AS CAN BE TO RIVER. FAB GARDEN AND GREAT FOR THE BIRD LIFE.
What a stunning position overlooking the Tranquil Breede River. A good place to stay to explore the Bonnievale Wine Route.
Don't forget to visit the Donkey Sanctuary at quaint MacGregor.
We loved our stay at Shady Creek. It was just perfect for our get- together with our London family.
We so enjoyed the rowing boat going up and down the river with its wonderful bird life.
The view of the river and the vineyard over the other side was so beautiful.

Ek het my ma en ons 4-been-kindertjies gevat vir n kuiertjie by Shady Creek. Wat n ongelooflike ondervinding! Ons het gerus, gebraai, die voëltjies en natuurskoon bewonder, en n onvergeetlike tydjie gehad. Die huis is 100% ingerig en ons het absoluut niks kort gekom nie. Ons sal beslis die res van die familie bring. Tot weersiens.
Such an amazing place!!! So so relaxing, clean and peaceful. We will definitely be going back very soon again.

The nature and views are incredible.
I liked the scenic Tradouw Pass, visited the waterfall, and Die Drupkelder cave.
We had lunch at Diesel & Creme. Very impressed with their food once again.
We also visited Ronnies Sex Shop. Nice novelty pub to visit.
The mountains, nostalgia, cheese and wine...Van Loveren the best!
We enjoyed lunch at Viljoensdrift and Catharinas and also having dinner on the private patio watching the sun set over the mountains. The King size bed was super comfortable and the large fenced garden made it very private for us and our scotty dogs.
