Excellent accommodation, with everything that is needed for self catering.
My wife stayed here before and recommended it, as it is a family friendly place. Our stay here was very nice. Dave was very friendly and checked on us regularly to make sure our stay there was pleasant. He even gave us a complimentary upgrade to a bigger room, one with a TV and dstv. The view from the pool is stunning. The jungle gym, trampoline and pool kept the children entertained. There is also enough space for them to run around. We could sit in the braai area out of the rain and the children had enough space for their games. The rooms are clean and tidy, with everything you will need. Would stay here again.
My wife and three year-old visited and had a GREAT time. David answered all our questions before arrival and even helped up arranged child care for us while we went climbing. He also gave some great beta on where to sport climb.
Montagu has awesome climbing!!
The place was perfect! Clean, simple, well equiped cottages. A delightful lawn, fresh pool, and small farm with rabbits and chickens.
The other guests and staff were fun and friendly.
Can't wait to stay again!!!
The two and a half hour drive was worth the Wait!!!!
We were welcomed warmly by the owner and had a fantastic stay. Our two little boys enjoyed the open space and fun activities.
It has a warm, friendly atmosphere and it was a relaxing get away.
Absolutely amazing facilities with humble and friendly owners. A real dream vacation.
Loved our weekend away. Thank you David for the welcome and great hosting. Clean, peaceful and all what you need for a quiet weekend to re-group and recharge. Kids had a ball with all the animals they could visit and the swimming. They even did a hike - a far cry from all the TV games and movies they normally watch. We were very happy and will definitely be back.

Montagu Reviews
The tranquility, historical few places, cleanliness and friendly inhabitants.
Came up to Montagu for a climbing course with Blue Mountain Adventures and stayed at the Tolhuis with two friends. It was just perfect. Firstly the location, it was only mere meters away from our first day's location for climbing , LEGOLAND. We could literally stop and walk up to our accommodation for a coffee and lunch break! The place itself was just perfect for the 3 of us. Great little braai area where we enjoyed our evenings and the place is simple and humble yet stylish! The hosts, Michelle, Ivan, and Jason their 6-month-old puppy were just very warm and accommodating. Thank you!
