With our affordable rates and luxury accommodation facilities, we offer the perfect stop for anyone visiting or travelling through the area. Located in a quiet cul-de sac, Maclear Manor offers its guests tranquillity away from the bustle of town.
All our rooms have private bathrooms and are equipped with DSTV, fridge, microwave and electric blankets. Indoor braai facilities, undercover parking and wi-fi available.
In Room Facilities:All our rooms have private bathrooms with either shower or shower and bath. For our guests comfort, electric blankets are provided as well as a heater in winter and fan in summer. All rooms are equipped with a fridge/freezer and microwave oven. An electric kettle as well as tea and coffee are provided in each room. Most rooms have a desk with desk lamp, please enquire when booking. DSTV is also provided in each room.
Area Information:Maclear is situated in the foothills of the Drakensberg, Eastern Cape, South Africa, and is famous for its wild trout, Rockart (San Paintings), dinosaur footprints and spectacular scenery. Annual festivities include the Fees Zonder Naam (FZN), the Trout River Festival during April/May and Kapaailand Classic golf tournament during November.
Beware! The first time visitor will find that the town's main street is a very busy business hive, but escape to the side streets or one of the B&Bs or the sporting facilities and enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains and fresh mountain air. Sit beside one of our many perennial rivers and streams and enjoy the sight and sounds of a neverending stream of water rushing past.
