Element Riders Place in Lüderitz Namibia is the affordable accommodation choice for the adventure traveler, the backpacker, the visitor and tourist on a budget.We offer self-catering accommodation for groups or families, single, double or group rooms, dormitory; all to suit your budget and requirements.
We offer four rooms with shared bathroom facilities and three rooms with each an en-suite shower and toilet. A fully equipped kitchen and mobile braai/barbeque is available. We have a lounge with book-exchange and one with TV (full DSTV).
In Room Facilities:We provide simple, yet comfortable and clean facilities and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Daily housekeeping. Daily on-site management.
Please note that in four of the rooms the bathroom facilities are not en-suite (not part of the rooms), but one facility in the main building and one facility for the outbuilding. The Kitchen is also shared.
The backpackers is situated in the heart of the town but in a quite side road. Supermarkets, tourist information, restaurants, coffee shops and famous landmarks are easy reachable. Lüderitz itself is a interesting little town and the perfect place to relax. It is in the "middle of nowhere", 125 km away from the next village. It's surrounding is a very rough and unique landscape, lonely beaches with tough flora and wildlife. Enjoy a trip to the beautiful beaches, lagoons and fjords in your car and stand the famous strong Lüderitz' wind, take a stroll through town and visit different landmarks such as the Felsenkirche (church on a rock). Also a visit to the ghost town of Kolmanskop, a dolphin and penguin boat tour or a visit to Elizabeth Bay are great and unforgettable things to do in Luderitz!
Property Facilities:FREE parking on the property with a locked gate. FREE Wi-Fi internet. We have a shared kitchen and a dining area. A shared sun deck as well as two shared lounges with full DSTV and book exchange. Basic shared barbecue/braai facilities, we can organise Airport Shuttles on request. Attractions:Before travelling to Lüderitz, pause for a moment to study the country map and how the town is sandwiched between the barren Namib Desert and the windswept South Atlantic coast. As if Lüderitz’ unique geographical setting wasn’t impressive enough, its surreal German art nouveau architecture will seal the deal. A colonial relic scarcely touched by the 21st century, Lüderitz recalls a Bavarian dorfchen (small village), with churches, bakeries and cafes. Lüderitz feels stuck in a time warp, a perception that delivers both gloom and a certain charm.
In short, it’s one of the most incongruous places in Africa.

We were five persons staying in this beautiful backpackers for one night. Next to the backpackers is a spar and it is really close to the waterfront.
So the accommodation was really great; clean and with a nice atmosphere.
The silence and atmosphere created for guests is very welcoming... I will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Lüderitz for me is the most magical of all the places I have stayed at during my various travels (EX-UK) in Namibia. The delicious seafood (Lüderitz oysters (#1 in the world), rock lobster, Lüderitz Abalone (only available at the fabulous Lüderitz Nest Hotel right on the sea), the fantastic Halifax Island dolphin, seal, penguin and DIAS CROSS Catamaran Tour is a must, Kolmanskop Ghost Town, FELSENKIRCHE and the Waterfront-Harbour are ALL a must. I enjoy running and there is no shortage of gravel roads with virtually no cars to get fit and fully absorb the natural desert surroundings. I highly recommend this place and my favourite two places to eat and drink? PENGUIN RESTAURANT and CRAYFISH BAR & LOUNGE. Lüderitz is the hidden gem of Namibia - for sure.
