While a lovely, quiet and peaceful stay (we really did enjoy the rest), there are certain things one would appreciate for the price paid for two nights. One of the chairs in the fireplace area, had no back. Broken off and left that way. Please also consider including a full list of cutlery so one knows what to take extra. No point in having a frying pan for the eggs but a soup spoon to flip it. Once again we had a lovely time.
Very relaxing environment and wonderful that it's pet friendly, however the unit we stayed in could really use some maintenance and some basic kitchen utensils. No bowls or braai tongs.
It was a great weekend and the host is such a great person we will definitely be going back again.
It was a nice getaway from the noisy city, and was surrounded by nature, unfortunately there was no fish and the 1thing that bothers me was, the host son did go up and down with his bike. Its a nice place to rest. The cottage was clean .
Our stay at Bernally’s was fantastic! The host was a wonderful, friendly man with his guests’ needs in mind. We even received a fabulous free upgrade to the Kingfisher Chalet. It has a gorgeous stone shower with instant hot/cold water. A very nice basic and clean kitchen with hot/cold water, excellent functioning refrigerator/freezer, and a two-burner gas cooktop. It had a nice sitting area with a fireplace and a table and chairs for the covered sitting area outside. There was so much wildlife and you could hear the owls and frogs/toads conversing at night. Beautiful birds and butterflies abounded. There were plenty of places to explore and get lost. We had a braai and bonfire both nights. It’s a great getaway from city life.
We had a lovely 2-day stay. Our dogs enjoyed it too. We stayed in the Fisherman's Cabin no 2 which is, as advertised, very basic, but generally adequate.
Wonderful place, I had a tranquil visit
We had an awesome weekend at your establishment for the price we paid, Chalets were basic, however neat and comfortable, Bernard made us feel welcome and was very helpful to us. Down side there was no fish in the dams but all in all we had an awesome weekend. I will recommend this accommodation to get away from the city life. Thanks,
Bernally's is awesome if you are looking for a really rustic - off grid weekend
We had a wonderful time here. The friendly owner even took the time to show us the best fishing spot. Will definitely be back.

Magaliesburg Reviews
Travel by day prevents being surprised by potholes, so pack in some patience when heading this way. Magaliesburg's Little Roadhouse had friendly service and fabulous slap chips. The Route 66 Events held at Mt Grace Hotel were most enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit.
