The ostensibly touchable mountains are only minutes away. Beautiful hiking trails and two nature reserves along the Koornlands and Breede Rivers, are within walking distance. The fresh air remains unpolluted as Swellendam does not boast industries. The farming community and the inhabitants of Swellendam coexist in close proximity of these beautiful surrounds and the bounty of its foodfields. Needless to say, it is the hospitality of Swellendam that conveys the true spirit of the Overberg.
Upon entering the town, the beautifully maintained old historical buildings and dwellings meet the eye. White limewashed walls with the traditional monument green woodwork, tipifies the Cape Dutch Style. The Drostdy Museum landmark with its open-air complex consists of several such historical buildings.

Reviews
Had a great time at Moolmanshof. Our rooms were clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Had a pet emergency the day we left home and Lizette allowed us to bring our post-op dog at a moment's notice. Big grounds for the children could play outside.
Old and rustic with beautiful gardens. Enjoyed the tranquility of the house. Number of rooms in the main house is great for a large family or group of friends looking to get away for a few days.
Beautiful place to stay with everything you need.
