Swartberg Gastehuis / Guest House is situated in the historical Mill Street in Caledon and offer a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere.
Caledon is centrally situated in the Overberg which makes it the ideal base from which to explore this interesting region. Also making it ideal and convenient for guests attending weddings in and around Caledon - Die Woud (4.9km) The One Heaven & Earth (10km) De Oudekraal (27km) Liefland (20km)
The 7 double and/or single en-suite rooms each offer their own private entrance and safe off-street parking. All rooms offer DSTV as well as unlimited high speed Wi-Fi, a mini bar fridge, coffee & tea making facilities. The self catering unit can accommodate 4 adults & 2 children. This unit also has its own bathroom with own private entrance.
Braai facilities are available in our unique cement dam with a relaxing garden. We strive to offer our guests that “home away from home” feeling and want to make sure that they are as comfortable as possible while staying at Swartberg Guest House.
There are seven en-suite double bedrooms each with own private entrances. Each room has a bar fridge with coffee & tea making facilities.

I had the best stay at Swartberg Guest House after finding it on such short notice. The host Johan van Deventer was extremely friendly and very concern, even keep in touch with me on whatsapp to ensure I arrived safely. The breakfast Johan prepared was made with much love and again his friendliness was tops, really the best qualities a host should have and he most definitely have it. I will most certainly make use of his guest house again next time I go to Caledon and will spread the word to my friends looking for a place to stay in Caledon.

Excellent wedding venues.
I enjoyed the Hot springs at Caledon Hotel.
We bought beautiful fresh, homemade bread at a farmstall 2km from Boschendal.
We liked being close to nature, we saw a variety of beautiful birdlife, cows, sheep, mountain ranges.
The local people are friendly and helpful!
