Nestling amongst fruit orchards on the slopes of the Winterhoek Mountains, at the secluded western end of the Tulbagh Valley, the stunning Manor House has 4 en suite rooms and a cosy 2 bedroom self catering cottage. As the only smallholding in the area, the property provides an unsurpassed sense of rural splendour - surrounded by expansive views of mountains, valleys, orchards and dams.

Area Information:Tulbagh, named after Dutch Cape Colony Governor Ryk Tulbagh, is a town located in the "Land van Waveren" mountain basin (also known as the Tulbagh basin),[3] in the Winelands of the Western Cape, South Africa. The basin is fringed on three sides by mountains, and is drained by the Klein Berg river and its tributaries. The nearest towns are Ons Rust and Gouda beyond the Nuwekloof Pass, Wolseley some 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the south inside the basin, and Ceres and Prince Alfred Hamlet beyond Michell's Pass in the Warm Bokkeveld.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. Facilities were excellent and the host was very friendly and made us feel at home right from the start.
The views were amazing and there was absolutely nothing missing from the cottage - all we needed.

Definitely recommend this establishment. We stayed for one night, accommodation very comfortable, lovely clean white linen and towels. Superb breakfast and a Mirna was a very friendly host.

We found Tulbagh to be close enough to Cape Town for a quick weekend away with family & friends.
Clean town with stunning wine farms, wine tasting and lovely restaurants.
Very picturesque with great hiking, mountain biking trails.
Lots of convenient shops in the town.
Can't wait for our next visit.

We loved our Sunday lunch at Tulbagh Hotel and Champagne tasting at Krone.
We went to Essere lodge for a weekend and loved it! Have done many wine tastings at the surrounding farms, love going there often.
