Grace Country Retreat consists of 8 fully contained self-catering units with open plan lounge/kitchen and bedroom comprising 2 single beds (can be made into king-sized bed upon request)/family room with queen-sized bed and 1 single bed/shared room with 3 single beds, two easy chairs, counter with two bar stools, fridge/freezer, microwave kettle and toaster, and four-plate gas hob. Cupboards contain crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Bathroom has both shower and bath facilities.
A Coffee shop on the premises provides light meals, dinners and breakfasts upon request, as well as gifts, stationery and books for sale. Braai facilities and picnic baskets are also available.
No TV or Radio in the Unit ensures tranquil and peaceful surroundings.
We are based on the outskirts of the small town of Memel in North Eastern Free State, and provide guests with opportunities including hiking trails, mountain biking routes, or visit the renowned Seekoeivlei Nature Reserve which hosts a variety of buck species, water buffalo and hippos, as well as prolific bird species for which Memel is well known.
We are within comfortable walking distance to the local business establishments, which include the Memel Hotel, Memel Museum, Daisy's Gift Shop, Highland Bar and Coffee shop, Hoogland Oase Restaurant, Bllaauw Huis with yesteryear relics and mementos as well as Shekinah Art Gallery and more.
We offer limited WiFi, and have Card Machine Facilities on premises.

Beautiful part of the country. The farmers fixed the road (potholes) and it is not bad at this stage.
Close and accessible from Johannesburg but the roads are not in great condition :(
