Each of our six rooms is decorated in its own unique style.

Our Oystercatcher Suite overlooks the lagoon and the majestic Knysna Heads, has a king-size four poster bed, and is an ideal romantic getaway retreat or simply a place to unwind.
EACH SUITE HAS - Satellite TV, MNet, tea and coffee making facilities, en-suite bathroom, underfloor heating (except Wagtail Suite), a bar fridge and WIFI.

Oystercatcher Suite - Upper level with balcony, king-size four poster bed, large full bathroom - bath, separate shower, double vanity, heated towel rail and a fireplace. Two bunk beds are tucked away in the adjoining dressing room - ideal for children under 10 accompanying parents. View of lagoon and famous Knysna Heads.

Kingfisher Suite - Gorgeous family suite with king size bed, patio and private deck, en-suite bathroom - bath with shower and heated towel rail. Adjoining room functions as a private lounge or children's room with sleeper couch. Lagoon view.

Wagtail Suite - Queen sized bed, private patio opening out onto a swimming pool, en-suite bathroom with shower.

Sandpiper Suite - Lower level, choice of twin or king size bed, patio, bathroom with shower and single vanity. Lagoon view.

Heron Suite - King sized bed, full en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, double vanity and heated towel rail. Patio overlooks deck, pool and lagoon.

Teal Suite - private king suite opening onto private patio and secluded pool deck. En suite with shower. Can be set up as twin.
Honesty Bar - Large flat screen TV, gas fire, lagoon view and balcony.
Other Features - Front swimming pool in wooden deck with sun loungers overlooking Knysna lagoon, sheltered back swimming pool with sun loungers. Lounge area open to all guests - from here you can enjoy beautiful lagoon views.

Leisure Isle is a gorgeous, quiet island where outdoor activities abound - from water sports on the lagoon to a bicycle ride, hike, or run around the island perimeter (about 4.2km). A charming coffee shop on the island is perfect for lunches, coffee or afternoon tea; and there are excellent restaurants just a short drive away.

Knysna is a town in the heart of South Africa's beautiful Garden Route just East of Cape Town. Knysna lies nestled in between the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean. Knysna has twice been voted South Africas favorite town, and with good reason. Its a friendly, welcoming town with lots of attractions and activities.

1. Enjoy the Beach
If the tide is in, there's very safe swimming at Bollard Beach on Leisure Isle. It's also got a sandy beach ideal for sand castles. At the bottom end of the island, there's a grassy, shady picnic site with BBQ facilities and toilets. If you want a very long romantic walk along the beach, you can walk all the way from Brenton-on-Sea to Buffalo Bay (about five miles).
2. Fabled Forest
Knysna is surrounded by patches of state forest in which there are paths of varying lengths. Pick up a map at Knysna Tourism (phone 044-382-5510) and a permit at the forest entrance.

If you're a mountain-biker, there are various routes to explore in the state forests. At Millwood, there's the 19km Homtini Cycle Route which starts at the Krisjan-se-nek picnic site. In Diepwalle, there's the 24km Petrus-se-brand Cycle Route which ends at the Garden-of-Eden.

There is much to offer in and around including the beautiful beaches at Plettenberg Bay, Buffalo Bay and Noetzie just a short drive away. World class golf courses are within a few minutes drive, cycling tracks abound and the Knysna Waterfront and Quays is just across the water.
