Laventaba Guest House is a country-style guest house located in Wakkerstoom. The guest house itself is a historical heritage house built in 1880 and still has that old classical feel to it. Each room is decorated with care using specially selected and renovated antiques.
The guest house has 4 comfortable double bedrooms and a loose-standing cottage. Each room offers 100% cotton percale linen and two of the rooms have fireplaces. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with deep baths or showers where guests can relax and unwind. A delicious breakfast can be enjoyed (as optional extra) in the dining room and dinner is available at various country restaurants within walking distance of Laventaba.
Wakkerstroom town has many historical buildings and the town is mostly known for its wetlands. It is nestled in a valley of rolling hills and dams and the village offers activities such as bird watching, quad biking , mountain biking, hiking and quint shops in the main street.

Wonderful stay, Wendy is a warm and special lady, she welcomed us in her beautiful house with open arms, we were lucky and had it all for us ! To stay here is like a trip into the history and past. Cozy room, bath with a view, fire place, we loved every single corner of Laventaba.
The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed chatting with her, learning the secrets of Wakkerstroom. Thank you Wendy, we will be back for sure! Riaan and Rocio

It is the most beautiful house and the friendliest host you will ever meet. The breakfast the next morning was very delicious.

Very peaceful little town. This is the place if you need time off from the buzz off the city life and just rest and relax.
Beautiful for birders. To note - most things are closed during the week other than the Bakery open daily and the hotel so be sure to check this before going there if you are looking to eat out.
