Donald Guest House was renovated for the first time in 1865 and consists of 14 units. Nestled between the koppies surrounding Colesberg in a safe and tranquil neighbourhood. Walking distance to the CBD and three outstanding restaurants.
In Room Facilities:We offer overnight accommodation for travelers in a double room with a double bed or a twin room with 2 single beds that also features tea and coffee facilities.
Area Information:Colesberg is a traveler’s oasis on the main Cape Town to Johannesburg route. Colesberg is situated in the Great Karoo in the Northern Cape on the N1 approximately halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town at the foot of Coleskop.
Colesberg lies in typical Karoo veld and is surrounded by koppies (little hills). The most famous is Coleskop, which can be seen from a distance of over 40km. The curious thing about this koppie is that as you travel towards it, it never seems to get any nearer!
In a sheep-farming area spread over half-a-million hectares, greater Colesberg breeds many of the country’s top merinos. It is also renowned for producing high-quality racehorses and many stud farms, including one owned by legendary golfer, Gary Player, are nearby.
Property Facilities:Other facilities include laundry services and secure parking. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement only.
Attractions:* Colesberg Kemper Museum.
* Colesberg Tourism.
* Onze Rust Guest House & Caravan Park.

A friendly, neat and good space. My dogs were happy too. Thank you
We had a good overnight in the guest house. The only problem was a slow wifi.
Overnight stay ok. It was sufficient and comfortable for our overnight needs. We arrived late, in total darkness because of loadshedding. I don't know if this is common, but we had difficulty finding the place in the dark and we could not use our phones.
Nice clean and comfortable big room in old historical building. Safe area across the toad from police station. With safe off road parking.
The room was nice and clean. Reception very friendly and quick.
Well priced for a family for an overnight stay along the N1. The room offers the basics, but it is clean and comfortable.
We were well looked after by Alta and Johan.
Rooms perfect and comfortable.
I enjoyed my stay immensely. The room was absolutely beautifully decorated with red and white as the theme. It was huge with four beds. The building I am told was built in the early 1800s. Ansie was a star, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be staying there again.
It was very nice, we will definitively come again when we travel far that way.
Only inconvenience was no hot water in the morning, but probably the storm hit the power system.

Colesberg Reviews
Colesberg the town has really gone down, rubbish everywhere, dirty and dusty. However as we stayed in the wonderful lodge outside of the town, we will overnight again in the area, as it is in the middle of Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Friendly people and just the right distance from Gauteng to take a break.
Spectacular view of animals and the mountains.
The roads are in great condition, we did not go into the town.
Just travelling through ....
The scenery.

The local pub....Horses and Mill.
Game drive and scenery!
Views!
Tzamenkomst.
