Bakersfield Self-Catering and B&B is located on a working smallholding overlooking Mount Currie and is surrounded by farms in a scenic valley just a short drive from Kokstad.
Each unit has one en-suite bedroom with twin beds. The cottages each has a TV with DStv, a heater a kitchen equipped with a two-plate gas stove, a microwave, a fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery as well as a kettle and a toaster. Braai facilities are also available.
The Kokstad area is popular for its many rivers and dams that provide opportunity for trout fishing. There three reserves in the area are Mount Currie, Wilfred Bauer with its lovely picnic spots, and the Mountain Lake Nature Reserve. The Mountain Lake Nature Reserve is a small reserve with over 220 species of birds for bird lovers, as well as tracks and paths that provide wonderful walks. The Crystal Dam provides ample boating and angling opportunities.
