Welcome to TroutWoods Cottage!
TroutWoods Cottage located on a working farm close to the town of Belfast, Machadodorp and Dullstroom. This establishment is a perfect destination for a family getaway. Trout Woods Cottage is home to many fauna life, ducks and trout which can be found in the dam. There are 3 manicured dams with rainbow and brown trout.
We are Pet friendly, and all dogs from all sizes and breeds are welcome.We have recently upgraded our fencing with 1.5m Bonnox with a single stand of electric wire on top.The cottage has a open plan kitchen, lounge dinning area with a indoor braai. the kitchen is equipped with all your necessities in order to create a scrumptious meal. There are 2 bedrooms, each with double bed and 2 fold up beds can be arranged for 2 small children. The one-bedroom has a fireplace. The lounge has a build in fireplace. There are braai facilities outside in a boma.
Guest are to partake in activities such as bird watching, fly fishing, a relaxing drive to the surrounding towns or mountain biking. Trout Woods Cottage is a beautiful holiday destination with amazing scenery.
Accommodation is ideally suited for families and small groups as follows:
• 2 Adults sharing + 2 adults sharing.
• 2 adults sharing + 2 adults sharing + an additional 1 or 2 children sharing (provided you stipulate to management that you require an extra one or two mattresses)
• 2 Adults sharing + 2 children sharing.
• 2 Adults + 2 Children Sharing + an additional 1 or 2 children sharing (provided you stipulate to management that you require an extra one or two mattresses)
• Please note that accommodation is not suitable for more then 4 adults.

We had a wonderful weekend in the cozy cottage and enjoyed the excellent hospitality ,home-baked goodies and fly-fishing!!
Stunning venue, friendly and helpful hosts, private, 3 dams close by. Our dogs loved it! Can definitely recommend.
Brilliant location, within short walking distance to 3 different dams! Hosts are super attentive and helpful.
The cabin is fenced off well to ensure your dogs can explore the spacious garden in comfort. But please know that there is a small section that a Labrador-sized dog would be able to jump over if they really wanted to.
Nice little touches make the stay that much better, not to mention all the wood you could ever need for an amazing bonfire under the stars!
A small note for travellers wanting to experience Dullstroom from the lodge, do not take the recommended GPS route (unless you're in a high 4-wheel drive car), as the route takes you over 3 different rocky mountain paths.
Beautiful accommodation - Very well equipped. Tranquil surroundings with stunning views all round.
