We atmosphere was very excellent and excited touring guides. The people around were very entertaining to us to make us feel at home to enjoy our time. What an exciting place to be.
The food was great. Diverse menu that changed daily. The game drive was very good. The Spa was also super. And the WiFi and DSTV were helpful. Good experience overall.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Neat and clean rooms. Delicious food. Game drive definitely worth it. Enjoyed the stay.
Awesome stay. Friendly staff. Great game drives and hikes.
We loved Askari. It is almost sublimely peaceful. The setting is wonderful and the game drive was incredibly informing, a rich experience with never a dull moment in terms of seeing things of interest. The room was super and the special they put on for my wife and I for our 35th anniversary was classy. The food was great, all of it. Breakfast was so generous, but supper was classy. I have already passed on recommendations.
The stay was absolutely amazing .It started off with being welcomed by amazing and friendly staff. Thereafter they accommodated us and made sure there was cake on the menu (it was my birthday 🥳). We were impressed by their level of effort to go the extra mile. We loved the game drive, It was so educative and Gibson knows his animals well! The elephant experience was amazing!. The rooms were clean, food was great. Thank you for making our stay beautiful. We would definitely stay there again.
Askari Game Lodge and Spa is a beautiful spot, only an hour from Johannesburg! The accommodation is fantastic, the food was great except the lunch menu does need more variety especially for vegetarians. The staff were all super! The spa treatment was lovely too and we loved our game drive!!
i went twice there with some friends, rooms very clean, white crispy sheets and very comfortable beds. The food was very nice and we used the spa and also went on a game drive . i will be going back with my grandkids in January.

We had a very good time at Askari enjoying the food and the animals. The game drive was superb and the guide very well informed. He really went the extra mile to make it a memorable experience.
We had a couple massage at the Spa which was not too bad - the two masseuse whispered to each other the whole time and the product used was slightly underwhelming.
The place seemed to be slightly rundown and not clean enough with the exception of the linen, which was clean and crisp -the saving grace of our experience. The bed was also of good quality.
It was the first time in our travel experience that the foot paths and general paving weren't swept, we saw no attempt to do this and in our opinion there seemed to be more than enough staff floating around.

Magaliesburg Reviews
Travel by day prevents being surprised by potholes, so pack in some patience when heading this way. Magaliesburg's Little Roadhouse had friendly service and fabulous slap chips. The Route 66 Events held at Mt Grace Hotel were most enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit.
History of the Magaliesberg.
Peacefulness and tranquility, abundance of nature, away from the city
Hiking and Wildlife.
The open spaces and the peace and quiet.

Lots of hikes, clay pigeon shooting and lovely restaurants and breweries.
Beautiful area with lots to do but great to unwind and relax.
Its an escape, away from the busy city life.
Away from the noise.
The different restaurants in the area and the scenery.
