3 Darling Street Guest House is situated in the village of Hanover in the Great Karoo halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town on the N1 and halfway between Port Elizabeth and Upington on the N10. Thus Hanover is the ideal halfway point for travel weary travelers to spend the night and refresh themselves for the next part of their journey.
The village of Hanover is renowned for it’s historic buildings as well as the magnificent Dutch Reformed Church which dominates the architectural landscape. The generosity and hospitality of the locals makes this little village very special indeed.
In the hot summer months our shaded garden and a cool drink is an inviting prospect for hot and tired travelers. In the cold of winter our little pub and dining room are heated with open fires and this is where you will meet our locals and fellow travelers.
Breakfast is available on request.

Good&old, traditional, clean& comfortable.
Good host&reception.Good value for money.
Big, clean room & bathroom.
Awesome! The best Pizza in the Northern Cape. Very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Great old world atmosphere. I will now make this my regular stopover in the drive up North.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 3 Darlimg Street. Room was clean and comfortable, with electric blankets and a heater to keep you warm. We had dinner at the restaurant and all I can say is that the pizza is amazing! Hanover is really a magical little town with an amazing atmosphere. Worth stopping over here if you want to get away from the busy bigger towns like Colesburg.
Very friendly hosts. The night was bitterly cold but a heater and electric blanket kept us warm.
We had an excellent overnight stay in Hanover 3 Darling Street Guest House. Dave waited up for us with home made pizza that we pre ordered. The rooms and in general the guest house itself are neat, clean and a touch of Karoo romance. Absolutely love the pub and dining area. In winter with the fireplaces going in each of the rooms must be so comforting. I highly recommend this Guest house for road travelers and a short one or two night stay.
Wonderful hosts and delicious food. Lovely cosy/comfy atmosphere .
