We have been coming to Kaia Manzi for a very long time, sometimes for over a month at a time and I can truly say that it's a great place. Management and staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the caretaker is a lovely person and we've always enjoyed the resort tremendously.
Unfortunately there have been a post or two, where uncouth people have posted negativities about the resort. Such as being disgusted at finding a spider in the room and having come across some ants. Calling the resort disgusting. This is a nature reserve, between mountains and veld. Is this not to be expected on the odd occasion? Is it truly the owner's responsibility to see to it that a little spider doesn't enter a room? Petty I think. If you don't want to be among nature, go to a hotel. Where I'm quite sure you'll also encounter the odd spider or ant.
I'd like to ask these people whether they have never encountered a spider or 2, an ant or 2 in their own homes? Are their homes then also disgusting?
Gérard, the owner, is a pleasant, friendly person, nothing disgusting about him, as these people claim, after never even having had a full sentence of conversation with him! Maria, Irene, everyone is helpful, friendly and keep the resort clean. Even working on Christmas day.
I recommend this resort, with it beautiful dam, to anyone, with an open heart.
