Our cottage has four bedrooms, all with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mini bar fridges and TV's. Each room is en-suite with a bath and shower. The spacious rooms lead out onto a wooden deck where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular garden, the numerous birds and sunsets overlooking the Pongola River.
Wholesome breakfasts are held in the breakfast area looking outside the garden prepared by the staff.
Each air-conditioned room is individually decorated and has a wooden balcony. It comes equipped with a TV, minibar and a fan. The private bathroom has a bath and shower.
Area Information:Our property is adjacent to the Pongola Nature Reserve, rich in game viewing and the Lake Jozini, home to the ferocious fighting Tiger Fish.
Close to the border of Swaziland/Golela, only 1km from the N2 Highway, Tamboti is an ideal stop over when travelling to the Kruger Park or Mozambique from KZN; or when travelling from JHB to the KZN beach resorts or S.Mozambique resorts such as Ponta d'Ouro. Between the towns of Mkuze 40km and Pongola 27km.

It is the only water in South Africa where these fresh water game fish are found. Bring your own boats and tackle the challenge!
Depending on availability, guests may take part in activities which Shayamoya Tiger Fishing and Game Lodge conduct - Game drives, sundowner boat cruises, tiger fishing or rhino tracking.
There are many renowned Game Reserves within an hour's drive including Mkzuze, Hluhluwe, Itala, Ndumu and Tembe Game Reserves.

Comfortable and relaxing with a lovely breakfast. Friendliness and welcoming is how I would describe our stay. Next time we are going to spend more time looking at the fabulous numbers of birds to be seen at Tamboti Ridge.
Beautiful view, quiet environment. Nice place to stay over at.
A very good place to stay. Facilities very good, it was neat and clean. Everything was working very well except a few dead bulbs, but that wasn't the worse. Birding around the lodge was marvellous.

The game drive, how green everything is, love Nkwazi Lodge, the bar & the food was amazing! The look out point make for many great conversations! Leeuspoor Butchery is a great stop for venison & biltong - all very delicious & well priced!
Loved the game walks and the boat cruise on the Pongloa River. The Jozini dam is spectacular.
