Kadie Cottage is a Cape Dutch Cottage built in 1802 that has been converted to a self-catering cottage. The Cottage is also a national monument that was originally a stable and is conveniently located in Swellendam.
Kadie Cottage is set between lush gardens, and is fully equipped for self-catering. The cottage sleeps up to 5 guests and comprises of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, an open-plan kitchen and dining area, and a comfortable lounge.
The dining area contains a 6-seater dining table and chairs while the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. The comfortable lounge contains an additional single bed, and a TV with DStv.
Additional amenities include Wi-Fi connections, an outside braai area with seating and plenty of secure parking. The cottage also features a 11 m salt water swimming pool, a large garden and a popular restaurant.

Although it was only a one night stop-over, our stay was pleasant in a well appointed, clean cottage.

Kadie Cottage is an original converted stable and opened it's door in 1984....today we have kept up with the trends and taken out the varnish and made it cottage.It is self-catering as guests like to do their own thing... it has double room, twin room and a single . shower in the bath. the cottage is double story which is Not Wheel Friendly and NO Pets. Comfortable sitting room with DSTV. And modern kitchen. sheets and towels included as well serviced daily and a laundry if you stay over another night. 11 meter pool. safe off-street parking
Swellendam is half way we tween Garden Route and Cape Town on the N2
with modern roads it is east to use Swellendam as a base, the Coast is 100 km, then there is wine route which starts about 40 km ...there is a lovely way to Cape Town via Roberson via Villersdorp and Franshoek.
just for a few hours in Swellendam ,the Fairies< Drosdty and Bontebok National Park. .....if you love shops there is a mall, 250 meters ...there are all the national buses, Greyhound, Citiliner, Intercape STOP Here!
