Kassiesbaai Cottage is truly a hidden treasure in Arniston. We loved it from the moment we arrived. Eve and André are the kindest hosts and always willing to help! Sushi, the resident dog is well mannered and very friendly - she joined us for a walk through town. The view from the braai room is spectacular and we spent most of our time enjoying the sea view. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and very practical. We didn't need anything else. We are definitely returning to visit them in 2021, but would like to stay longer.
Accommodation is at the beach, with the view of the ocean in the separate braai area simply amazing. Accommodation was as per the photos, and close to the Arniston Hotel, great value proposition. Will definitely stay here again in future.
Very nice sea view from the braai-House, comfortable Little House in the rural fishing Harbour
Kassiesbaai Cottage is a charming place. The cottage is nicely furnished with everything you need. It has a very spacious shower cabin in a renovated bathroom. But the highlight is definitely the area overlooking the ocean. Stupendous views and if it’s a bit windy you can enjoy them from inside. The Martinhus family make you feel at home, thank you! The fact that we’re taking off one star has nothing at all to do with the cottage or the hosts. The beach of the area is beautiful but unfortunately there - as in quite a number of beaches we’ve been to - it is also littered with plastic and beer bottles. This is such a disrespect to the natural beauty of the country and a hazard to marine life. There are a good number of waste bins there - so use them!
Wonderlike verblyf in die skilderagtige Kassiesbaai!
This is a cute little fisherman's cottage with basic but perfectly adequate facilities. The separate "lapa" has the best sea view in the whole of Arniston and because it faces due east the view of the sunrise is unforgettable.
Hotel is a 3 minute walk and in fact everything in Arniston is only a short walk away.
Excellent value for money for a budget get away - we will be back.
Wonderful relaxing stay - spend most of our time on the patio outside the braai room - spectacular views! Will definitely be back.
Kassiesbaai Cottage was wonderful.
Quiet, peaceful and near enough to the beach to walk.
They have enclosed the braai area very cleverly so if the wind blows, it can still be used.
Clean, neat and just enough to ensure a comfortable stay.
We will go back soon.
I wanted a peaceful, tranquil place with no crowds or loud traffic. I love my privacy and I could not have chosen a more perfect spot. The village of Kassiesbaai is a fascinating place with such an amazing history. Sad to be told that there is not much fishing going on there any more due to over-trawling by other countries off shore. Something here for everyone - posh hotel just down the road but for me this Cottage was perfect. Lovely owners who left me to get on with my stay once I had been welcomed. Views to die for over the bay from a special little enclosed 'lapa' looking right down over the rocks and sea. Whales swam by, birds flew past, beautiful Cape flowers bloomed and always the lovely sounds of the sea. Very interesting little village whose cottages are in various stages of repair - some look neglected which could be due to owners having moved away. Would love to go back - not just for two nights next time - could stay for at least a week! Thank you Andre and Eve.
Great Stay. Friendly hosts. Great views. Will go back to visit again.
