Timbavati Safari Lodge offers 3-Star graded comfortable and quality accommodation situated in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. The perfect tranquil getaway and bush experience with loved ones. Guests have an abundance of choices for adventures, activities and excursions into Kruger National Park and the surrounding areas.
The lodge is located within the African Bushveld, surrounded by free roaming game and an untouched wildlife environment. An absolute paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers. This family owned business is only 20 km from the Orpen Gate of The Kruger National Park.
The exquisite, traditional Ndebele painted rondavels and family chalets are located ideally amongst the shady trees and natural surroundings creating a peaceful atmosphere for guests to unwind in. All of the inviting 42 rooms have en-suite bathrooms. The game lodge can accommodate up to 120 guests and is well equipped for large groups such as corporate functions, conferences, tour operators, weddings and most special occasions.
Guests can relax at the welcoming lounge, have a cold one at the incredible bar and take a dip in the large sparkling swimming pool after a long day game spotting in one of their Kruger National Park registered open game vehicles. The pool side lounges are wonderful to stretch out and lie under the African sun as well.
The reeded boma braai area is under a canopy of African starlight and guests can take in the amazing venison and hearty 'potjie' scents while the nearby wildlife creates an enchanting atmosphere at night.
A true African style buffet is served for dinner in the open-aired traditional boma or alongside the swimming pool.
Timbavati Safari Lodge offers day, sunset and night drives in the Kruger National Park or sunset drives in a private Big 5 nature reserve, a real must for guests to encounter. Timbavati has many other activities ranging from a local bush or cultural walk, a visit to the local animal rehabilitation centres and a leisurely boat cruise in the Blyde River Canyon to take in the scenery. For the more adventurous, guests can enjoy hot air ballooning, white water rafting, elephant back safaris, paintball, microlight flights and many more.

Beautiful and Clean, pity a place like Mali Mali can upset a persons Holiday... an event that was meant to be legendary! Mali Mali is not as per there website... they manipulate the internet!
The nature.
Morokologa game reserve, we spend our Christmas at the camp and we had a beautiful game drive and morning walks with my grandmother. Played games and reconnected as a family.
Most of Gold cabins- the weather - the sound of the birds-
Since we have family and old colleagues in Hoedspruit we enjoy everything. Love going to Hoedspruit for a weekend break away.
The quietness.
It’s a beautiful town which is easily accessible and has all the convenient shopping around the lodges nearby and one is able to do various activities around the area.
Privacy!
The town is very small yet beautiful and neat. It has lots of tourist attractions and good place to visit, just to unwind!
