The Breede River Getaway Home is a homely holiday home set on the banks of the Breede River in Malagas. Set in tranquil surroundings, this holiday home offers a complete break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The house has an open-plan living area with a lounge offering a TV with DStv and a DVD player, and a fully equipped kitchen that leads onto a balcony that is great for entertaining with a built-in braai. There are three spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms upstairs; two bedrooms have double beds and one has a king-size bed. Downstairs provides a children’s room with four single beds and ample space to play with its own bathroom and separate toilet. The fireplace in the heart of the home is perfect for those winter getaways. The house has a private jetty with its own slipway.
Relax on the jetty with a sun downer or simply enjoy the view from the deck overlooking the river. We are in the ideal location for fishing, water skiing, bird watching, hiking and relaxing.
Malgas is one of the few places in South Africa where you can cross a river by ferry, or punt. It is the only way, for miles around, to get from one side of the Breede River to the opposite bank. The only alternative is a 74km detour via the N2.
