This cute little cottage is only 7 km from Carnarvon on the R63 and approximately 1 km from the tarred road. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful karoo koppies.
Come and experience the silence and tranquility of the Karoo. Ideal for nature lovers and outdoor adventurers. At night, the star studded clear Karoo sky is as always an unique experience and in the morning you can be awakened by the songs and calls of a wide range of birds.
We also have a 2bedroom unit available, as well as a camping site. Newest addition to Sandrivier Gasteplaas.

The Karoo cottage was well appointed and clean as well as being private. We enjoyed the typical northern Cape vistas especially at sunset. The stars at night were especially memorable as we were lucky to see Starlink go by.
We really had an enjoyable stopover. The place is clean, quiet and safe.

If you want to relax and watch the Karoo koppies change colour as the sun sets, this is the ideal place for an overnight stay. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable.
Sandrivier Gasteplaas is one of the "GEMS' you have on your books and of the Karoo.
We were greeted as friends and after seeing the little house, thought we made a mistake. But opening the front door, lies the most wonderful surprises. From the "Protea" theme throughout, to the smallest details. We were also treated with a bottle of wine as a welcome gift.. Sitting in the stillness of the Karoo on the stoep and watching the glow of fire, to listening to the sheep and watching a heaven full of stars, was just the way to relax. And anyone who says the Karoo is boring, have never spent time at Sandrivier.
It was probably the hi light of our holiday and we will definitely go back.
