From luxury, comfortable, quiet and private accommodation Summerplace Game Reserve is the perfect getaway for a couple, group or large family. We cater for both leisure and fun.
Summerplace Game Reserve accommodation consists of 12 self-catering cottages/units & 6 campsites. All cottages are equipped with kitchens and kitchenettes, open plan and fully electrified. Log fireplaces can be found in Summerview/Summerhill/Saringa Cottage/Bushwillow/New Wine & York's View with wood provided at a small fee. Meals are an option, however, notice of the catered option is required in advance. Breakfasts and lunches can be enjoyed at The Bike Village & dinners are delivered with a smile to your cottage.
In Room Facilities:All accommodation options come with a fully equipped kitchens as well as 100% cotton linen and towels. Please Note : Bring your own swimming towels. You will be charged if you use our towels at the pool.
Area Information:A beautiful 3500ha game reserve is situated in the heart of the majestic Waterberg mountains surrounded by beautiful bushveld, wildlife and stunning views. We are located between Botswana and Johannesburg making it the ideal base from which to discover the surrounds.
Property Facilities:Our large houses have private swimming pools. All other houses except THE SHED have wood-fire hot tubs. We have a "restaurant" on site but meals need to be booked 5 days in advance. We also have a communal pool for the guest staying in the smaller house.
Attractions:We are one of South Africa's premier mountain biking destinations. Explore our reserve on a bike or by foot.

What a great getaway!
What a beautiful place, super clean and so well kept. The hosts are so helpful and friendly. The most unbelievable mountain bike tracks. This place is a gem in the bushveld!!!
Wonderful & peaceful. I loved the early mornings and the sunsets from Marula Cottage.

What we had in Vaalwater was amazing! Things that everyone wanna see but my wish is to visit one of the best Lodges in our area which is "Tshwene lodge".
I definitely recommend it, we had so much fun and enjoyed the swimming, fishing and walks around the lodge. Its clean and beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to go back again.
My goodness! What a heavenly place! We booked Eagles Nest and it was everything as advertised and more. Gréât cycling and game driving. The view is just incredible from our beds. The house felt just like home - cosy, inviting, easy to live in. The night skies were magical. Sunrise and sunsets breath taking. Wonderful friendly staff. Thank you!!
