Cypherkuil Karoo Cottage is located on a Karoo sheep and game farm, halfway between Cape Town and Johannesburg, on the N12 via Kimberley. The farm is 45 km from Strydenburg and 80 km from Britstown, Northern Cape. It is the ideal overnight place where guests can relax and enjoy the silence of the Karoo.
This self-catering cottage has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an outdoor shower. The cottage is rented as a unit for guests. The first bedroom features a double bed, while the second and third bedrooms each are fitted with twin single beds. The bathroom has a bath and a shower. Linen, towels and soap are also provided.
The living area is equipped with a cozy fireplace for the cold winter, an air-conditioner, a TV and there is a big stoep with a built-in braai. The "stoep" has a beautiful view where guests can enjoy Karoo sunsets, the tranquility and the smell of the Karoo. The fully equipped kitchen has a stove, microwave oven, and refrigerator. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar and homemade biscuits are provided. Fresh bread, roosterkoeke and braai packages are available on request. Secure parking is available on the premises.
Guests can enjoy activities like hiking or mountain biking.

What an amazing experience. The hospitality of the hosts, the tranquility of the beautiful farm, the endless possibilities for hiking, mountain biking and photography, everything that you could wish for and more. Could have easily stayed forever. Thanks to Alme, we had lamb chops, boerewors, roosterkoek, potbrood and cooked sheep head (smiley), everything to perfection. The house is comfy and cosy, with a large stoep, from where you can watch the breathtaking sunset.
