We are already planning our next trip to Otter's Bend! What a peaceful gem hidden along the Breede River. We caught beautiful, healthy carp and kurper in the dam.
Neat cottage, beautiful gardens and you can rest well.
Awesome location for a quiet weekend away with the family. Kids loved the swimming and fishing in the dam.
It was our second stay at Ottersbend and we loved it. All you need in the house. We fished, we had a swim, we had a braai and we had lots of walks down to the river. Its a awesome place to take the kids and dogs!
Wonderful time spent in nature - the cottage was comfortable and neat!!
A great getaway for a relaxing breakaway. Our stay was very cozy and comfortable with everything we needed from kitchen utensils to toweling and linen.
What a little piece of heaven! We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the cottages next to the dam. It was quiet, peaceful and beautiful with the dam in front and the mountains in the background. The children enjoyed rowing on the dam. Accommodation was very neat & comfortable. We cannot wait to return!
Absolutely incredible. The right place to be if you need to recharge your batteries. The cottage is very clean and has everything you need, even a fireplace for those cold evenings. We had the most incredible weekend just relaxing, unfortunately we didn't get to paddle on the dam as the wind was a bit unpleasant but we enjoyed watching the birds. You get totally lost in time at this place as you are away from all the hustle and bustle of the city life, here nothing is chasing you and you are not chasing anything. You simply just take in the serenity of this beautiful place. Look forward to visiting again during the summer months.

Natural beauty and adequate shops, wine and cheese.
great camping

The nature and views are incredible.
I liked the scenic Tradouw Pass, visited the waterfall, and Die Drupkelder cave.
We had lunch at Diesel & Creme. Very impressed with their food once again.
We also visited Ronnies Sex Shop. Nice novelty pub to visit.
The mountains, nostalgia, cheese and wine...Van Loveren the best!
We enjoyed lunch at Viljoensdrift and Catharinas and also having dinner on the private patio watching the sun set over the mountains. The King size bed was super comfortable and the large fenced garden made it very private for us and our scotty dogs.
It’s a beautiful place!
Exploring the area, friendliness in the area.
Small town but not much to see.
The rich history and wine cellars. Van Loveren staff very friendly and felt welcome.
