BIRDSONG, NEXTDOOR & OCHRE HOUSE: Three beautiful private self-catering holiday houses in a wildlife conservancy adjoining South Africa’s famed Kruger National Park.
Just 15 minutes from the Crocodile Bridge entry gate to Kruger’s southern region. That’s the region of Kruger with the most prolific and varied African wildlife populations.
All three properties are designed for maximum privacy. The main living areas open out to the rear, facing south. No other structures are visible; it’s your own exclusive native bush reserve for as far as you can see, shared only with the animals.
Sit by the pool with a coffee in the morning – or a sundowner in the afternoon – and watch zebras, antelopes and giraffes from just metres away.
Built-in Jetmaster braai (BBQ) on the covered dining patio, with wood, charcoal and fire lighters supplied. Ochre House has instead a custom-made Hibachi grill on the patio.
4.5-metre private plunge pools built flush with outdoor patio level, providing elevated, panoramic and private bush outlook.
The Marloth Park conservancy, within which the lodge is located, is a unique 1500 hectare natural bush environment with its own abundant wild game including giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, kudu and impala roaming free, literally on your doorstep. And, as our name suggests, many species of spectacular African birds in the native trees surrounding your lodge.
