Rothman Manor, built in 1834, offers exclusive boutique accommodation in elegant rooms with superb European-style comforts combined with unique African decor.
The guest house provides the discerning traveller with lovely rooms that can accommodate between 2 to 3 people. The air-conditioned rooms open onto a patio or balcony and are furnished with comfortable twin or king-size beds, and a pop-up single bed on request.
The en-suite bathrooms have underfloor heating, heated towel rails, and they are fitted with baths and showers or showers only. The rooms have bar fridges, tea and coffee-making facilities, sitting areas in some, and a TV with Netflix and Showmax, as well as Wi-Fi access. iPhone docking stations and a host of thoughtful touches will make guests’ stay comfortable.
An excellent breakfast is served under a majestic 19th-century oak overlooking the estate. Guests can cool down in the large pool, take a leisurely stroll in the park-like garden, watch the bird life around the large lily pond and observe zebras and springboks in the small eco-reserve while enjoying the outdoor Jacuzzi.

I enjoyed Aan De Eike Guesthouse, My room were clean and the service were excellent.I felt very safe enjoyed every moment since I arrived. Swellendam is beautiful with most beautiful views. The location was very convenient and would recommend The Republican Restaurant. The food and vibe were awesome. It's safe to walk in Swellendam, what a beautiful place for entertainment

Scenery, the residents, the roads are in great condition (compared to many many many other towns/cities in SA).
Wildebraam Estate. Friendly people. No traffic. Has all the shops and places one needs.
