I had to attend a wedding in Douglas, and this was my first time in the town. It was a wonderful experience, the town is small and yet so much to see. The Last Eve was a wonderful stay. The guesthouse has its own unique style and the hosts Vijan and Nadia are absolutely wonderful people, their hospitality was amazing and that made the stay even more wonderful. They pay close attention to detail in terms of food requirements (excellent breakfast style).
The guest house offers excellent WiFi signal, excellent food (it has a cute little restaurant), wonderful hosts and definitely safe. I recommend the Queen Mary room for couples or for 1 person only. It is like a boutique guest house.

The safety and it is a great town to get out of Johannesburg.
Tarred town roads. Lots of interesting places to visit. Clean. The Vaal River. The best way to travel there is via the tarred road from Kimberley.
Gletservloere, river confluence, people are friendly, great town.
