Scottburgh Beachfront Garden Cottages is situated on the idyllic Natal South Coast, between Scottburgh and Umkomaas, is a private unspoiled beach; a mere four kilometer's from Scottburgh and three kilometer's from Umkomaas.

Few others have discovered this enchanted private beach. If you want to escape the buzz of city life or the crowds common to public beaches, this is a must for you. Beautiful, tranquil, secure, private and safe, what more could one ask for.

Enjoy a slice of paradise while still enjoying modern facilities. Two fully equipped 3 bedroomed cottages each sleeping 6.
24hr security 2 tier security. The Primary Alarm Unit (PAU) is a direct link to HUTS Protections services, a 24-hour armed response service which is based in Umkomaas (Less than four kilometers from the cottage).

The Secondary Alarm Unit (SAU) initiates the invisible infrared sensors around the beachfront perimeter. Should an intruder cross the beams, an alarm will be activated.

FACILITIES:
Everybody that stay there shares the facilities.
We all use the "Braai" on the Patio.
We all use the Shower Outside to wash sand off when we come back from the beach.
We all share the Benches on the Patio next to the shower.
We all share the Front Grass Area with the Two Cement Tables and seating.
Cars should park next to the Units (There is undercover parking). However, you may also park infront of your unit, as long as we leave space for other people to drive in and park.
There is a Laundry on site with a Washing machine and a Tumble Dryer. It is there for all our use and we all share it.There is a Laundromat in Scottburgh where you can also do the washing.
The Domestic worker and Caretaker, a Husband and Wife team, live on the premises. If need be, they are there to aid and assist you.
Additional fees will be charged, should the Domestic worker or Caretaker be required to wash vehicles, cook or clean the cottage

DSTV is supplied with DSTV Card - FULL BOUQUET. (You need not bring your Dstv Card).

SWIMMING:
There are no Life Guards.However, It's very safe to swim with Low tide. There is a Natural Sand Bank about 100 meters into the sea. We have never had an incident/shark attack ever on this beach. One must always take care - but if you swim on the side (Up to 20 meters inwards) it's very safe. All us "Locals" have been swimming there for the last 30 years.
There is also "Natural Rock Pools" to the right side of the beach where you can swim.
The closest public beach is 4 Km away in Scottburgh. You can take a 3Km walk to Scottburgh on the beach if you are brave enough.
Dolphins frequent the area and you will see them regularly.
Whales Have been sighted near the beach.
Monkeys are in the area and it is advisable to keep your doors closed when you are not there, as the monkeys would occasionally enter your cottage and steal food.
