Situated in the sleepy Karoo town of Richmond, almost halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town on the N1, you will find Aandrus guesthouse. Aandrus guesthouse was established in the 1950s. Today it still remains clean, affordable and comfortable overnight stop on your journey through the wide expanses of the Greater Karoo.
The guest house offers accommodation in a choice of 6 double bedrooms, 3 triple rooms, a 4-sleeper bedroom or a 5-sleeper bedroom. Each bedroom features an en-suite bathroom fitted with either a bath or shower. Additional facilities in the bedrooms include ceiling fans, wall heaters, electric blankets, towels and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
You will also be able to enjoy the great starry night sky of the Karoo while relaxing in front of your room.
Guests can relax in the communal lounge which features a TV, enjoy meals or a game of pool in the dining area, and have a braai outdoors.
We also offer secure parking and security camera’s for some peace of mind.

• The Richmond Horse Museum is a must-see attraction for horse lovers. Housed in what was previously a school and boarding house in the 1800s, and subsequently a cabinet maker’s workshop, it is one of only two museums in the world dedicated to the saddle horse.

The Aandrus guesthouse is a pleasant and well priced stay en route to Cape Town. The host is very helpful and the rooms are clean.
The Aandrus guesthouse is a convenient and well priced sleepover on the way to Cape Town. All facilities are basic but more than adequate and the rooms are clean.

Aandrus guesthouse is a convenient and well priced stop on the way to Cape Town. Facilities are basic but everything is there including the communal lounge and kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals.
The rooms are clean and have all the basics such as TV, kettle, tea and coffee.
What a lovely host, friendly and helpful
It was Sunday but the art gallery was open and what a surprise. The overnight stop during Eskom madness was eased by the lady with the lamp.
My third stay at Aandrus and yet again super impressed. Not only were we welcomed late at night to check in, Bianca very generously helped us out with a blanket, water bowl and lead for a puppy we found abandoned on the road.
Adequate
As always, the Aandrus Guesthouse does not disappoint. The parking is secure, the rooms are clean and well equipped and pricing is very reasonable. The ideal halfway stop between Jo’burg and Cape Town if you need a good sleep.

Wonderful accommodation at Aandrus B+B, on the outskirts of town, is affordable and is of a high standard with the friendly and efficient owner and staff available to care for every need. I can highly recommend this establishment.
