Yzerfontein is a quaint fishing village on the West Coast, approximately 80 km from Cape Town on the R27, a perfect holiday location and weekend getaway for rock and surf fishing as well as diving, surfing and boogie boarding, walking, hiking, whale watching, tennis, bowls, cycling or simply enjoying the seaside. Spectacular sea life can be seen at various times throughout the year - whales, seals, dolphins to name a few. Flanked with beautiful, untouched, safe beaches stretching all the way along the adjacent West Coast National Park. Yzerfontein also has a picturesque harbor suitable for launching boats.
The cottage accommodates four guests. Situated alongside the West Coast National Park, the beach is a safe five-minute walk away, as are the shops, restaurants, pubs and clubhouse.
The cottage has safe private off-street parking andise totally fully equipped. All bedrooms have double rooms with double beds and all linen is provided. Kitchens are also fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, stove, oven and microwave and T.V. The cottage also has a private, peaceful, outdoor area with braai facilities situated in a fully enclosed beautiful garden filled with birds and tumbling water features, it is safe for both families, children and lovers alike.

We had a lovely stay for a short weekend getaway with family incl. dogs and would definitely recommend Brenda's cottages. The correspondence with her was excellent and our cottage was very comfortable, clean, well-equipped and in walking distance to the bakery, brewery & beach. Would definitely book again!

Our stay at the Namib cottage was so pleasant! the house was clean and tidy and the facilities were amazing. Brenda is such a great host and was quick to respond to any request or question that we had throughout our stay. It felt like being at home. Was super amazing !
This is an amazing cottage, fully equipped and private. It is spacious, neat and has an inside braai and its own private courtyard. I would highly recommend this to people for a break away. I really enjoyed my stay and would go back any time.
More often than not, when you see pictures on the website it looks great, but when you arrive are disappointed, but we had it the other way round, it was better than expected, great place at a reasonable price.
Kalahari cottage at Spear Chunks was a wonderful experience all round. We had everything we needed for a restful stay. The accommodation is perfect!
The cottage was clean, the beds comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil one would have at home. It is well situated, a five minute walk from the beach and next to a nature reserve; in a close, making it private, quiet and peaceful. The cottage was also near shops, a coffee shop and restaurant. Everything needed for a delightful holiday.
