Bethel is run by the Owner themselves. Your hostess is Sandra and your host is Peet. At Bethel you come as a visitor but leave as a friend.
Bethel BnB consists of 6 en-suite rooms in Oudtshoorn, the largest town in the Little Karoo. It is within easy reach of the well-known Cape Route 62 in the Western Cape, and is within minutes of the KKNK's festival grounds.
Bethel has 3 common use spacious living areas, 1 of which is equipped with a television. We also have a dining room for breakfast which is at additional cost.
Each room is equipped with a double / queen size bed, television, hairdryer, coffee machine, air conditioning, winter electric blankets, bar fridge and complimentary bath products.
On site we have an indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool for use at your own risk.
When you think of Oudtshoorn, one of the first three things that comes to mind for most visitors is surely ostriches, the annual Klein Karoo National Arts Festival and the Cango Caves. On the contrary, this beautiful Karoo village offers much more. There is something for every person. The breathtaking Meiringspoort as well as the various mountain passes. Then there are the road stalls and curio shops. Smuts Winkel is a MUST. In the immediate area there are hiking trails with meerkats, cage diving with crocodiles and then highlight for me personally the Elephant Experiences (walking / feeding & brushing). Also, don't forget to take the kids and the "adult kids" to Wilgewandel ... there are various activities for old and young like camel rides, "foofie" slide etc
There are many points of interest in this town and nearby area that few people know: Oudtshoorn is the largest town in the Little Karoo and is known as the ostrich capital of the world. Because it is the town with the most sunny days in South Africa, visitors can expect numerous rain-free summer days, even in winter.
